Of traditional granite construction with wet-laid scantile tile roof, it is thought the original house dates to the 1700’s. The generous proportions of the property today were the result of substantial revisions undertaken at the height of prosperity from the adjacent mine in the mid 19th century, when the roof was raised and the front rebuilt.

The property has many character features and much charm, it would benefit from some tender loving care.

A four-bedroomed property offering spacious and adaptable accommodation for all the family.

The property benefits from internal styling untouched since the 1980's. Many of the rooms are complete with furnishings including a range of children's toys, christmas decorations and agricultural implements. Particular features include a 1970's period tiled fire-place in the front room, a range of period wall coverings and a cooking range in an enclosed granite inglenook fireplace.

The property is approached to the front by a private lane through the farm with a Cornish hedge to one side. The garden area to the front is at present open plan. There is ample parking for 2/3 horses. The property enjoys a thoroughly rural location with lovely open views across surrounding countryside, taking in antique farm machinary and a disused mine at the bottom of the garden.

There is no land registry entry for this property. As with many older properties in West Cornwall paperwork was considered of no consequence. Homes were passed down through the generations without formal records being kept, sometimes leading at a later date to familial dispute.

The house would particularly suit those with an interest in wildlife and en-plein-air living, housing as it does resident swallows, fauna and flora. A particular benefit of this property, as its name implies, is its own generous water supply offering full potential for a swimming pool. Electricity is available nearby, there is an on-site land-fill facility.
